The Endo Club Nord was founded in 1991 as a practice-oriented further-education forum for gastroenterological endoscopy by Nib Soehendra (University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf), Dietmar Wurbs (Asklepios Clinic Barmbek) and Friedrich Hagenmüller (Asklepios Clinic Altona).〔(''Management & Krankenhaus'' ).
